There was one question we asked almost everyone: Looking back, what would you do differently?
🔹 Rohit Jha, CEO of Transcelestial: “I would have entered the U.S. market earlier. I would have moved into defense and space earlier. Those decisions turned out to be highly impactful — I simply should have made them sooner.”
🔹 Stefan Günzel, Managing Director of INNOSYSTEC: “We should have established stronger international locations earlier. It pays off in every case — the larger competitors are present there as well.”
🔹 Dominique Rousseau, now at CAMB.AI, answered a related question differently from everyone else. Are there decisions he would make differently in hindsight? “Honestly, no. I have always been guided by a combination of passion and the opportunities that presented themselves — and I am very happy with the path I have taken.”
Jha and Günzel point to clear gaps — not as self-criticism, but as insight. Wait too long, and there is a price to pay. Rousseau challenges the premise itself. If you have brought the necessary energy and commitment to each step along the way, there is little reason for regret.
Perhaps the most productive answer to this question is not a reflection on the past, but a challenge to the present:
What is waiting right now to be done sooner?

🔹Dominique Rousseau, heute bei CAMB.AI, beantwortet eine verwandte Frage anders als alle anderen: Gibt es Entscheidungen, die er im Nachhinein anders fällen würde? „Ehrlicherweise, nein. Ich habe mich immer leiten lassen von einer Mischung aus Leidenschaft und sich bietenden Möglichkeiten — und bin sehr glücklich mit dem Weg, den ich gegangen bin.”
Jha und Günzel benennen klare Lücken — nicht als Selbstkritik, sondern als Erkenntnis: Wer zu lange wartet, zahlt einen Preis. Rousseau widerspricht der Prämisse mit seiner Grundhaltung: Wer jedem Schritt die nötige Energie mitgegeben hat, hat keinen Grund zur Reue.
Vielleicht ist die produktivste Antwort auf diese Frage kein Rückblick, sondern ein Auftrag an die Gegenwart. „Was wartet gerade darauf, früher getan zu werden?“
